BLUEFLOW ANNOUNCES ORDER FOR ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO TRAFIKVERKET/FÄRJEREDERIET – STA ROAD FERRIES
A total of 26 installations will be carried out during a period of 18 months. This order confirms Blueflow´s position as a major supplier of Energy Management Systems for the marine market. This project runs in collaboration with our partner METS technology in Uddevalla.
All ForSea Ferries will be equipped with Blueflow Energy Management System™
After a successful trial period on E/S Aurora, ForSea Ferries has now decided to go ahead with Blueflow installations on the rest of the fleet. M/S Hamlet, M/S Mercandia and E/S Tycho Brahe will now have Blueflow installed and we have started preparing the projects.
This is another proof that we are doing many things correct. As said before, there are only winners in energy-saving projects. ForSea is working very focused and being one of the bricks in their work for a cleaner environment is an honour.
We are really proud of this order, and we want to thank everyone involved! More info will be posted as work proceeds.

VIKING LINE equips their entire fleet with
Blueflow Energy Management System™ as their MRV and Energy-Efficiency platform
The European Union, Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) directive places a substantial workload on shipowners when it comes to administrative tasks like recording or reporting and it is here that Blueflow Energy Management MRV assists them. Our MRV solution considerably saves time, workload and complexity through automating those MRV processes wherever possible.
Blueflow will allow Viking Line to produce a vessel’s annual MRV report within minutes despite the enormous amount of data involved and at the same time give visual and vital feedback on their fleets energy efficiency and carbon prints.
We are honored to have had our Blueflow MRV solution chosen by a leading shipping company in the Baltic Sea and we look forward to the coming months as we equip their ships with Blueflow™ for them to be fully operational by the end of 2017.
Ulf Hagström, SVP Marine Operations, Viking Line says:
“Blueflow is being used by Viking Line to detect deviations or under-optimized routines in real time and then suggesting alternatives (optimized from Blueflows historical data). We see the benefit that the officers onboard the ships immediately can see the difference in energy consumptions trying out different operating methods. Furthermore, Blueflow Fuel reporting system gives us full control of the ship´s fuel and energy consumption. It will also minimize the effort needed to comply with the upcoming MRV-legislation.”
Viking Line is the market-leading brand in passenger traffic on the northern Baltic Sea and it offers passenger services, recreation and cargo carrier services on its vessels Gabriella, Mariella,
Amorella, Rosella, Viking Cinderella, Viking FSTR, Viking XPRS and on the new flagship Viking Grace.

Destination Gotland chooses Blueflow Energy Management System™ as their
MRV and Energy-Efficiency platform
Blueflow is very proud to work with Destination Gotland in their MRV and energy-efficiency efforts.
Blueflow Energy Management System™ is compliant with European Union Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) rules
and will be used in Destination Gotland’s daily MRV work along with efforts in reducing carbon prints and energy consumption.
M/S Visby and M/S Gotland will be first out to be equipped with Blueflow Energy Management System™.
Blueflow Energy Management goes electric…
Together with Callenberg we now have a Blueflow Energy Management System installed at the shipping company Ballerina’s fully electric powered ship E/S Sjövägen. E/S Sjövägen is fully electric, powered by two electric motors, each delivering 125 kW. Through connection to the ship’s existing automation systems we measure and calculate parameters like kWh/Nm, battery status, charging power and much more. This complements the already existing installations at Ballerina, M/S Gurli and M/S Kung Ring.

Blueflow Energy Management now announces that we have been granted funds from the Swedish Energy Agency® for the development of integrating MRV support in Blueflow Fuel®. Selecting Blueflow as your company’s fuel and energy management platform will ensure MRV-compatibility and minimize the effort needed to comply with the MRV regulation.
With the EU calling for a global approach to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from shipping has resulted in the requirement for shipping lines to take action. On the 1st of January 2018 all large shipping vessels, using EU ports, will be required to report their annual emissions (verified). For our customers Blueflow Fuel® is a natural platform for their future MRV work as our product is already today partially compliant with the EU’s MRV legislation.
Fuelwise Management Systems, in partnership with Blueflow Technologies, have just completed two Blueflow Fuel installations for Harbour City Ferries, in Sydney, Australia. A third installation is on the way and the aim is to evaluate the system on each of the three main classes of vessels in operation and then roll it out the rest of the fleet.
